Children with underlying medical conditions should continue to keep to the protective measures that applied to their condition prior to the coronavirus pandemic.
The risk of children developing severe COVID-19 – even those with an underlying medical condition – is generally small, and there is no special risk group here. But particular attention should be paid to the development of any symptoms of COVID-19 in children with an immunosuppressive underlying medical condition.
Should your child show symptoms of coronavirus infection, particularly if these symptoms are pronounced, you should talk to your paediatrician or your family doctor. They will be able to answer your questions and give you advice that is based on your child’s particular situation.
