If you are pregnant, you should make every possible effort to protect yourself from coronavirus infection, as this could lead to a severe case of COVID-19. We therefore urge you to observe our basic principles on the Protect yourself and others page, and to follow our vaccination recommendations.
Under the terms of the Maternity Protection Ordinance, your employer is required to ensure that you, as a pregnant person, are protected as much as possible against against coronavirus infection at your place of work. If this cannot be done, your employer must offer you alternatives. Should it not be possible for you to continue working, your gynaecologist can provide you with a corresponding medical certificate. Further information, including information on protection at the workplace, can be found on the website of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in German, French or Italian).
If you have symptoms, ring your gynaecologist immediately in order to discuss the necessary steps.
