Yes, your COVID certificate shows how many vaccine doses you have received and how many vaccine doses are required using a corresponding coding: Number of vaccine doses received / number of vaccine doses required, e.g. 2/2
The number of required vaccine doses mentioned here corresponds to the international standards of the “European Digital COVID Certificate” (EU DCC) and does not necessarily correspond to the FCV vaccination recommendations.
Some examples with corresponding codings can be found below:
You received a dose of a two-dose vaccine (e.g. mRNA) as your last vaccination. You had not been infected with the coronavirus before this. Possible codings:
- 1/2: incomplete vaccination series (not usable for travel or areas with a certificate requirement)
- 2/2: complete vaccination series
- 3/3, 4/4, etc.: complete vaccination series plus booster vaccinations
You received a dose of a two-dose vaccine (e.g. mRNA) as your last vaccination. You had tested positive for the coronavirus before this. Possible codings (the number of vaccine doses required is always one):
- 1/1: complete vaccination series after recovery
- 2/1, 3/1, 4/1, etc.: complete vaccination series after recovery plus booster vaccinations
You received a dose of a single-dose vaccine (e.g. Janssen) as your last vaccination. You had not been infected with the coronavirus before this. Possible codings:
- 1/1: complete vaccination series
- 2/1, 3/1, 4/1, etc.: complete vaccination series plus booster vaccinations
Please note: You only receive a COVID certificate for a vaccination if the infection was not the most recent event. This means that if you become infected with the coronavirus after a vaccination, your certificate for the vaccination remains as it was. You can also get a certificate of recovery.
